Services
Feeding therapy, occupational therapy, and lactation support for babies from birth to age 2 and their families. As both an OT and an IBCLC, I can address your baby's needs and your breastfeeding concerns in one place, with one provider.
Under practice act guidelines, referrals from chiropractors or midwives can’t be accepted unless that practitioner is also a physician, nurse practitioner, or other advanced practice registered nurse (such as a certified nurse-midwife).
A referral is required
Because of occupational therapy licensure requirements, feeding therapy and OT services require a referral. Referrals usually come from your pediatrician, but can also come from a dentist, nurse practitioner (NP), or physician assistant (PA). The referral should be for OT, or for evaluation and treatment of feeding or breastfeeding, whichever applies.
Most providers have no issue faxing one over. Simply asking your provider to send it is usually all it takes.
Lactation support
Because I'm both a therapist and an IBCLC, you don't need separate appointments for your lactation concerns and your baby's therapy needs. Both are covered under one roof.
